iPhone 6 not accepting new screen

Hi

I ordered new OEM screen for an Iphone 6 with broken screen.

Using old screen-->phone boots up and no issiue

New screen--> Phone dont start up(no backlight either)

Gone thorugh cables multiple times, drained out of power, only connected digitizer and LCD cable, cleaned new screen connections. When i put it in charger with new screen, sometimes it makes sound but no life on screen.

The new screen is OEM and new and should not be bad.

Any idea what it might be?

Something needs to be said...

Just because you ordered an "OEM" screen:

  • It doesn't mean you received an OEM quality screen
  • Even the best "OEM"/Premium screens purchased from reliable vendors can and will fail
  • Any screen that you will buy is either an aftermarket of varying quality or a gray-market screen that Apple refused in QC for some reason or another
  • There are no true high grade, OEM screens, only Apple has those

So congrats for ordering a quality screen as opposed to a cheap screen on Amazon. However, it is possible that it is defective. The hardest part of DIY fixing is always having a variable, i.e. is the replacement part good or not.

So if the old screen works and the replacement screen doesn't, then you have a bad screen and you should contact your vendor.
