Difficult to start when hot.

I have a 160i that is difficult or will not start when hot. Smells like the engine floods. Have to wait +- 20 min. Cold starting is fine. Any ideas on what to do?

Sounds like the main relay to me. The main relay will give you the same symptoms as a bad coil or a bad igniter. A main relay usually only fails when the weather is really hot. You might have a hard start every now and then, but not enough to really cause you any concern, but when an igniter or a coil fails, the car won't start at all until it cools down. Stop by an Auto Zone and get a free computer read out. Here's a very good article on the problem: http://autorepair.about.com/od/enginetro...
