I have a Samsung UN50J6200 AFXZA LED tv and same issue. While watching tv, blue screen appeared, audio works fine. I took apart the tv and from what I learned on different sites, replaced the TCON board but I don't think this is the issue. I've tried both the HDMI ports and the Audio and Video jacks with a DVD player and Wii console and audio works perfectly but the screen is just blue. Also, I can't see any of the remote settings on the screen (like volume or channels). Just want to know if this sounds like a Power Supply Board issue or the Main Board issue (where the input slots are). Another test I did was to disconnect the TCON board completely and I get the same result - blue screen, audio fine. There are two ribbons that exit the TCON and connect to another small board on the bottom of the TV. What are these called? I wonder if those would be the issue?? Any help would be great!

Did you have any luck? I have a Samsung UN60eh6050fxfza, blue screen nothing else. Audio works perfectly, tried av cables as well didn’t change. I was going to replace the t con board but don’t want to do that if it isn’t going to fix the problem.

@ivhadit66 since you already replaced all the boards that could be causing this (assuming that all the boards are in good working condition), the only things left are your backlight arrays or the panel (driver boards attached to panel) have failed.

Hello Jodi,

I am sorry that you wasted money buying the wrong boards for your tv. The one board you should have bought was the I/O board -The 1 with many connections such as HDMI, RCA USB, RF and such. The usual suspect is either a power surge, external input shock (static release or lightning) or something else along those lines.

Good Luck!

Update (03/15/2018)

Hello Jodi,

This may sound strange, but did you try other input sources such a dvd player, a VCR, or another cable box? Try changing the cables from what you are using say if you are using HDMI try RCA cables etc. Perhaps the cable box is defective or needs to be rebooted. Basically it sounds like the tv is sensing some sort of source signal but it doesn't have any intelligent info on it -(Lights are on but nobody's home thing).

That should help!

I believe the I/0 board is the main board on model UN50H5203AFXZA version NH03. If so I already replaced it to no help.

10 yr old UN60EH6050FXZA here: Good sound and back lights and previously no picture ever.

With the NEW T-con board now, I now get picture for about a minute, until it freezes, and then gradually fades to black (maybe dark blue).

It is the same when I check each side independently, (with only one T-con output ribbon connected to the panel at a time).

Suggestions please?

Late update: I returned the tcon board, and the 2nd one got no picture at all. (These were both harvested boards from failed TVs)

After reading, I found this tcon board model has problems, and it was recommended that I try the replacement board model instead (which was used in a different Samsung model TV.

It worked great, and still works.

Lesson: With old TVs, the only boards you will find are harvested boards. Since those boards are most likely the reason those TVs failed also, you will probably get a bad board. Search to see if there is a replacement compatible board instead.
