My controller moves on its own

My controller will make movements (looking and moving) without being touched. It is really annoying. I don't feel any stickyness in the joy sticks, they spring back good. what part should i replace?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Have you tried rebooting the console? sometimes if you start a game or something with the joystick not in the normal position it will think the normal position is the position it is currently in.

It is constant with 1 of my controllers. It never gets better. I can only use my "good controller" which i have marked now, lol. if someone uses the bad one it constantly drifts.

I thought my controller was broken, bought a new one and it still won't work. It keeps moving up and right making it impossible to sign in or use in general. I've done the hard reset and also unplugged it but no luck.

Yes dude this happened to me too and I don’t know what to do to fix it. All the controllers I connect do the same thing and I even bought a new one and it still moves on it’s own. Literally can’t even use my Xbox

Your controller may be experiencing drift. One solution that often works is to open up the controller and apply a few drops of IPA in the joystick potentiometers to remove any dirt or debris affecting the joystick. If this does not solve the problem, then your joystick may be experiencing mechanical drift, which means the joystick needs to be replaced.
