Blank screen after repair

Hi,iv recently replaced a screen on 6s plus.it didn’t turn on after but still rang!iv just gone to take a look at it again and the charge symbol has come on the screen,I’m currently charging it.does this mean the screen works and the repair was a success??the symbol didn’t come on before.thanks.

Probably successful repair.

Usually these issues on 6s and 6s plus models usually result in backlight circuit needing repair due to the battery being still connected and screen was unplugged / plugged from logic board which can result in the backlight circuit getting blown.

And for that to be fixed it would require microsoldering. If your battery was unplugged prior to repair that luckily for you that is definitely not the problem.

Anyway since you see low battery logo, backlight is fine on your phone.

Works fine now,just the home button doesn’t work but I read that you have to swap the ribbon cable that runs up the phone due to the being paird somehow!!

It's not paired to the logic board, the home button extension cable is just an extension cable, if that fixed your issue by replacing it (or a.k.a getting it from the old screen) then the one that was pre-installed, or used on the new screen was faulty.
