Dead iPhone but recognized by itunes

Hi everyone!

So I am currently trying to fix a 6s that died spontaneously , it just turned off instantly .

I have opened it up and checked that the battery was not dead, as well as the port connector. I connected it to iTunes and getting this message:

"iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "my iphone's name" because it is locked with passcode on the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes"

The thing is I am not getting any vibrations or display out of the phone whatsoever.

I managed to put it on DFU mode and managed to update it via iTunes. It was successful but still have nothing.

After that I tried restoring, and this time it fails and shows this message:

"The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (4016)"

Any Ideas on what to try next?

This was the best shot i could make.

As you can see, some of the pins on the far right are burnt.

I guess I have to change the connector

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Try the restore again but using 3utools instead of iTunes instead.

For the no display issue, try shining a flashlight on the screen after unplugging then plugging the battery them turning it on.

If you see a dim apple logo then the phone has a no backlight issue.

You will have to take your phone to a reputable shop that does microsoldering for iPhones to get it fixed. Usually the ones that offer a no fix no fee model.

I just discovered that some pins from the screen/touch connector were bent.

I gently pushed back to their position and now I am getting display output!

Now I have a new problem, no touchscreen, I guess I should try a new screen.

Anyway thanks for your help!

Which ones were bent? The ones closer to the camera or the one further away?

The horizontal wider one is the touch screen connector, the shorter horizontal one right under it is the LCD display connector.
