Why does the paper come out blank?

Whenever I try to print out a document the paper comes out blank.

The printer is most likely out of ink, so replace the ink cartridges

I was going to say I took mines out then put back in for a few sec.. an tride it work perfect.. if that didn't work I was going to buy new cartridges..
