How to make videos record for longer times
Is their a setting to change to record more than an hour at a time

Travis Bryant that should be the maximum. There is a very logical (and financial) reason for this. Once a digital camera is capable of recording video for a longer than 1 hr period it will be identified by Customs Agencies as a "Video Recorder". Those would then be taxed at a higher rate. Canon, Nikon and others were to pay a higher customs duty. To circumvent this, they limit video recording time to 1 hr in the low resolution mode (less in higher resolution)
