Remote will not charge

Hi my sons remote won't change it switches on and the light is blue ( but dead now) and when I put the charger in I got nothing I have brought a new charger port thinking it might be that but that's not lighting orange neither and I've tried the reset button aswell could someone please tell me what else could be wrong thankyou
