Backlight not working after dock replacment.

Hi i recently replaced my dock connector on my iPhone 3G installation was success but then when i powered up my phone i noticed that the backlight wasnt working so again i turned it off then tried reinserting the cables from the LCD to the logic board tried powering it on still no backlight is there something i do wrong or what? is this repairable? i need help please.

Try hard resetting the device (hold power+home button).
