Truck ran over my iPod

My IPod was DOA after a truck ran it over. The display had lines only. I replaced the display and it worked when apart. Putting it back together it didn't work. Could I have messed up the insides during my repair ? If it is the logic board how will I know ? How do you know if it is the hard drive ? I am looking for any help I can get. Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

@butchr if it works while apart but does not when assembled, something is shortening out. Take a good look at the mid-frame and all the connectors. Post some images with your question so we can see what you see. Use this guide for that. If it would be the HDD it would not come on, no matter if assembled or disassembled.
