i've replaced screen but home button doesn't work

Hi community,

i have an iphone 7 plus with cracked screen; i've changed the screen with nothing problems but when i turn on the device, apple logo appears but it get stuck, then i link on itunes the device and i start with the dfu mode to refresh the os to last one version.

now on the screen i can see "push home button to recover data" (or something like this, i'm italian). But home button doesn't work! it doesn't push.

i've order a new home button and i replaced it but it's the same; then i've replace the old broken screen first time with the new button and second time with the old button but nothing work.

please help me,

Unfortunately with the iPhone 7 and 8, the home button is not replaceable. It is paired to to logic board. The only home button that will work is the original. Sorry about that, hope you find a different was to get it working.

no, i haven't any ideas about the repair. what can i do? just genius bar? genius bar accepted an opened iphone (all original components)?

The Genius bar might accept it, but I doubt they'll do a warranty claim so you'll have to pay. Just close it back up and see what they say.

It could just be a defective screen as the home button cable plugs into the screen.

Have you inspected the old home button for any physical damage?
