My computer is picking up audio from my headphones

im trying to use the built in microphones on my earphones but all the audio input is going through where the output should come out not the built in microphone this is happening with all my audio devices. i know that realtek can make an audio input into an output bit i cant find anyone with this problem. this only happens when i plug it into the input jack but that's the only way it'll detect anything.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi,

The link you posted requires a user id and password to gain access. ;-(

Just post the make and model number of the motherboard and the PC case (if the front panel audio connections are included with it) or the front audio panel if it was purchased separately.

Hi Gage Waller , imo, it depends on your model number of your pc systems.

normally, behind the computer has three audio jacks,

e.g .

audio out,

mic out,

line in

those output can be controlled and modified inside your system control panel (realtek or connexant .. etc to configure the ports to use 2.1 or 5.1, etc

you need to ensure it has been set correctly.

Do check on this also:

Is your front pane on your pcl, are there only one jack output or two?

and your headphone, does it only provide one 3.5mm jack?

if there are two connection in the front panel (audio out and mic in), and your headphone is a single jack, you will need to get an adapter like this below.

another below is for headphone with dual output but front panel accepts a single connection, which ties audio and mic together in one jack, just like most phones.
