Touch ID not working after cable replacement

Hello.

I replaced the screen on my iPhone 6, and when I powered it on again, I got a popup message saying that Touch ID can't be activated on this phone.

So I replaced the whole screen metal back plate with a new cable for the button. Now, I don't get the error message, but when I go to settings and try to add a new fingerprint, it says that Touch ID can't be activated.

If I double touch the button, the screen slides down as it's supposed to. This did not work with the other flex cable.

What is the issue?? Tried rebooting a few times, and still nothing.

Thanks,

Andreas.

Backup your phone via iTunes then try restoring it.

Try the touch ID during setup of the phone, hopefully it works, if not then I'm not sure what else to try as touchID might be gone after somehow getting damaged.
