Why does the old screen look as bad as the new?
Preface: I hate iPhone's
Got an iPhone 7 replacement screen full assembly from a company I have had good luck with. Opened the package and I could tell instantly the screen was not new. I hooked it up and as expected it has a crack in the upper corner and lines through it. Sending it back and ordering another one hoping for the best.
Meanwhile, i re-connected the original cracked screen and it has lines in it as well. Touch works but home button does not. I looked at the cable where the home button cable connects and it has a tiny tear in it which assures me that's why the home button works, but why would the screen have lines in it similar to the replacement? I want to say it's because of the force required to remove the original off the adhesive, but unsure.
Am I overthinking it and should assume it's probably because it took force to remove an already cracked screen and it most likely did further damage to it when removing? This crap always freaks me out.....at least the customer is someone I personally know and aren't out for blood right now..
Is this a good question?
