Can you use the sim tray from an iPhone 5 in a 5c?

Hello,

I have an iPhone 5c with a broken sim tray. Would I be able to swap in the sim tray from a spare iPhone 5 (ie are they identical) or will it cause issues?

No, the 5 and 5s are compatible but not the 5c.

Also, note that your IMEI is etched on to your SIM tray, so each authentic Apple SIM tray is unique.

the sim tray is just a piece of plastic/metal and the sim tray of a iphone 5 works really well in an iphone 5c without any problem beside of the design

its ugly but it work fine, i reccomend you to use an original or compatible sim tray designed for the iphone 5c but if you dont have any it work pretty well
