Welcome screen keeps returning after reboot

Hi all,

I transfered all my data from my iPhone 4 to a iPhone 6. Everything went well and the phone is working fine.

After that I rebooted the phone and the 'Welcome screen' was back. It says the phone is installed correctly, you can use the phone etc. After that I have to choose a WiFi connection. And than the phone works again good. This happens everytime when I reboot the phone.

I also tried this without the backup on the phone, and when I rebooted the phone this time, it does not show the welcome screen. What could be the problem?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

a few different things have fixed this issue in my shop before.

1) most commonly, a Hard reset fixes it. (Power and home for 15 seconds)

2) sometimes, when i replace the battery, and this goes away.

3) there is a row of components on the board, if these take any damage, it can cause issues with the battery. if the board doesnt recognize the battery when its off, it will reset all the setting on your device.

4) Forcing a fresh restore onto the device. manually downloading the iOS, and using the DFU mode to force it onto the phone can help this issue.

That being said, there has been times where i have been unable to fix this issue without a logic board replacement as well.

Thanks for your answer. But the phone works fine when I use it with a clean install, without the backup.

alrighty, then then that means your backup is corrupted.
