Eternally stuck in safe mode

Hi. My Samsung is stuck in safe mode. I cleaned the sound control hoping that was the problem.... I think I will need to replace the switch because it will not turn down... I think that's why it's misbehaving. How much would a switch cost and the tools needed to do the job?
