Replaced battery and still doesn't hold charge

Ipod was fully working except it would turn off when disconnected from charge.

So i replaced the battery and at first it seemed it was solved since it was charging and holding a charge. But it would at times ask to connect to power even though it was fully charged!

It would turn off as if it had no charge and could not reset it unless i plugged to charger (just to turn it on, i could unplug right after).

Now it's not charging again, when i plug to AC says it's full charged (and it's not).

Since it was a new battery should i have charged it by usb? I used AC, maybe i ruined the battery? Or maybe a fault on the logic board in the charging circuit?

Answer this question I have this problem too

It is possible that it is the charging circuit on the logic board, but I would make sure that your connections are free of debris and corrosion. Check your port connector and make sure no pins are bend, also check your usb cable and make sure it is in good working order. Once you check and recheck, let us know how you are progressing.

It's working now but keeps asking to connect to power from time to time even though the battery is half or full. A bit annoying...

Ok, now it's charging and not displaying the message. Maybe since it was a new battery needed some cycles to proper function?
