Mandy, that's a great suggestion however there are numerous reports of huge delays as there are thousands of people try to get these done. In some cases, Apple geniuses are pushing back and not offering replacements. So user experience may vary.
As for availability of replacement batteries within iFixit, the OP needs to direct the question to iFixit Support, this forum is just volunteers helping DIY fixers.
