Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS60 will not power up

Hi. Camera got slightly wet on a boating trip and would not turn back on. Pulled the battery and tried to charge it but no response from the camera. Would the water have killed the battery? Or is it something inside the camera?

The water shouldn't have killed the battery, but if it wasn't removed as soon as possible after the camera got wet then it may have caused electrolytic corrosion in the electronics, or damage due to current flowing where it shouldn't. Disassemble it and clean all the electronics with isopropyl alcohol and you might just be able to recover it. But if the water got into the lens you may have trouble sorting that out.
