My screen is dark and hazy unless I switch to inverted colors

My SE recently developed horizontal lines across the screen along with haziness. Then, a day later, the screen went very dark and the only way to make things readable was to invert the colors.

I also noticed if I squeezed the screen down in various locations, I would get flickering or a clearer picture. I tried cleaning the cable connections, but it didnt do anything.

Screen responsiveness is good and everything works as it should otherwise.

Should i replace the LCD and digitizer?

Thanks

You either have a screen issue or a logic board issue. Always start by the simplest route...try a replacement screen, preferably a known-good screen or high quality new one. The iPhone SE has issues with lower quality aftermarket 5S screens, which are otherwise compatible. While your at it, visually inspect the condition of the connectors and the surrounding area.

If that doesn't work, then the issue may be on the logic board but we can cross that bridge when necessary.

After youtubing and googling for examples of Logic Board failures, i dont see anything. One key point I forgot to probably mention is that this began after I opened it up to look at the battery. Because i didnt have a tool to remove the tape underneath the battery, I just closed the phone back up and this screen issue was the end result. What are your thoughts on that?

If you don't have the tools needed to remove a battery, then I think you should bring this into a local shop.
