Technically speaking, it's already iCloud locked. I presume you don't have access to the original owner so in that case the only way to remove iCloud is to replace the BB/NAND and EEPROM IC with a matched set that doesn't have iCloud activated. Not sure it's worthwhile financially to perform this repair on an iPhone 4, unless it's for educational purposes.

All that is very true. I might try to replace the chips as I always love learning new skills. I do have another iPhone 4 that is stuck on Connect to iTunes in setup that is not iCloud locked. Would those chips work? I do have some experience micro-soldering. Thanks!

If there was no passcode I could force the icloud off as I have done that before with iFile. Do you know any iphone 4 passcode bypasses?

Sorry, I don't really get involved with iCloud locked devices. I know the older phones are less "securely" locked than the newer ones but I couldn't tell you how it's done. If you figure it out, feel free to share with the community so everyone benefits.

if it is an iphone 4 without siri there is a hardware bypass that will allow you to gain access to its files through ssh and delete the setup.app but the device will not activate. if that is not a problem then i would do that but if it is then your possibly at a lost cause. The iPhone 4 and 4S are not that useful anymore due to being stuck on older version of iOS.

You can't unbreak an egg and that is also true here.

All these are good for are parts to fix other phones.
