Why does my battery saying its charged when it's not?

I just changed my battery because it had said that the battery needs to be serviced. After changing the battery it was quite strange it was 73% and I had played game for more than an hour and it was still the same. I noticed when I charged it the percentage would still stay the same.My phone is currently at 3% and I had charged it for about 2 days and it is still 3%. I have updated my phone and done many thing. I did get it fixed for £20.

It sounds like there is an issue with the "gas gauge". This could be an issue within the battery or on the logic board. You could try to re-install your original battery to see if it exhibits the same problem. If it does, then the logic board may have been damaged. If it doesn't then the issue is most likely with the replacement battery.
