How to disassemble Foodsaver Big Game Sealer.

I recently purchased a Big Game sealer, but it is not receiving power when plugged in. I've seen how-tos for older sealers, but not this one. There appear to be sealed screw wells, but I've tried prying those out to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm assuming one of the power connections came loose.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Got the GM710 Gamesaver, had to replace the air suction hose, to take the unit apart you have to lightly drill out those plastic plug caps with a 5/16 drill, the screws are right behind them. Once drilled out you can unscrew the whole unit. Foodsaver thought they would make it hard enough so you would go buy another one. The necessity of invention, motivates man's thinking to provide a solution.

While no expert on electric food saver machines, disassembling things is our nature when we can diy. Some equipment may have access screws hidden by rubber plugs that are feet, requiring removing each rubber foot plug before seeing screws holding main parts together. Other units hide access screws by covering them with product labeling. Using a fingernail pressed down on labeling as if forcing out trapped air under labels sometimes give way to dimples - poking a hole thru this indentation or carefully peeling away labeling (if interested in saving it to reapply) may reveal at least one assembly screw. Other areas hiding assembly hardware may be access panels, buttons, prying off finish covers having adhesive that are not meant to be removed.

Without knowing the type of hose material, inside and outside diameter, if fittings or clamps are used, either post snapshots of the hose and dimensions or search online for general purpose hoses. Maybe the manufacturer has online parts lists with diagrams to order replacement parts? Hoses; plain black rubber, clear silicone type, hard nylon, impregnated braided cloth used for vehicle heater hoses, coolant lines, fuel, etc. There's a hose that fits but you'll have to try searching.

My hose cracked a big hole right at the 90 degree turn place. The aquarium 1/4 air hose fits good. You can get it at PetSmart.
