My Car not starting

I had the hood up on my car checking fluids my car turned on fine no problem. Turned my car off put the hood down then tried to start it up again and nothing... My car has no knock sensor right now I'm waiting for the new one to be delivered. I have had to drive my car without it didn't want to but had no choice it's my only car. Could this be a reason for my car not starting?
