Where is the windshield washer pump located on a 1999 Ford Contour LX?
I looked under the hood, but it's hidden.

Hi @pearsone99 ,
Not sure re your model but on a lot of vehicles the actual pump motor is housed at the bottom of (on the outside ) the washer reservoir bottle. When you remove the reservoir you will see the pump come with it.
It is a (expletive deleted) of a repair as you have to jack up the car, remove the wheel and the wheel arch cover (and possibly the underneath engine bay cover) to access the washer reservoir bottle from underneath, disconnect the wiring plug and the water tubes leading away from it then you can remove the reservoir bottle. It is easier and safer to do if you have access to a car hoist when you work under the car.

@pearsone99 the fluid reservoir and the pump are located on the front passenger side in the engine compartment.
Number 8 are the front and rear pumps

I know the general area. But it's hidden from view. I need something more specific before I disassemble anything. The diagram was helpful.
