I installed the new display on my iPod Video. After install the display lights up but it is blank. Do not understand as when the broken display was in place the unit still worked, it just had a leaflike design through it. I can hear the drive firing up but no display.

bwalls, the last time I had this, it was caused by a bad connection on the logic board. I would try to reseat it and make sure that it goes in straight, mine was crooked and thus did the blank thing. Also try to reset your ipod
1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
The other concern I always have is how reliable was your source for the part.
