What is these chips for?

Today i tried to disassembly my macbook air's screen but i broke the chip in the picture.Looks like everything still works well but i still wonder what is these chips for.Anyone knows about it?

The pictures not super clear but they appear to be capacitors. If you gave us the exact model number of the logic board (i.e. 820-XXXX) then we could tell you exactly what they are.

Capacitors are designed into the the circuit for very specific reasons. In digital circuits, they usually serve to filter out noise or act as a reserve for immediate current requirements. Therefore their presence is not always absolutely required but chances are that you may see some strange issues on occasion. Ideally, they should be replaced.
