Why can I only get some to one area of my house

Why can I only get sound to one area of my house

We have a Onkyo audio video control tuner amplifier

TX – SV727, space TX – SP 727 R

The sound system will give sound to the rear of the house, but not the front of the house. When I switch the wires in the back of the unit I can get sound to go to the front of the house, but the other connectors don’t work to send sound to the back of the house, which tells me my house wires are ok but the unit has a problem.

I cannot find an electronic repair place close to me. Does this sound like something I can fix myself?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Steve,

Thank you so much for your input. You were spot on the bypass was not the problem. The problem was that there were loose wires in the back. I thought I had reattach them sufficiently, but after much fooling around with the receiver and speakers we have them all functioning.

Thanks again for your help

Awesome job on diagnosing the actual issue. Without pulling it apart it is hard to tell if this could be an easy fix. I'd assume some light soldering may be needed. Without experience I would watch some youtube videos for advice and tips.. Having light hands is the biggest one.
