Red Ring New problem?

Hello

So i have sifted through multiple forums and have figured out it is a problem with a component in the xbox itself. Not say a bad powersupply. But the thing is I don't know what component it could be.

I have seen alot of people say its just the cpu and gpu overheating. So that would mean I would just have to repast all components with better heat pads. But I doubt that is the problem.

I know this problem is quite old which makes it even worse because of the many different fixes to all kinds of red ring of death problems. Because I have also found out that this isn't just some one solution fix. This red ring pops up from many different things that can go wrong with the xbox itself.

ANY HELP would be really appreciated.

Because Id rather not pay microsoft $80 plus shipping to have them ship it. When I can just get a used 360 s for 50-80.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I would really not like to pay stupid Microsoft for something that is most likely the replacement of a single part.

Not trying to make iFixit lose money, but those bolts and washers just flex the board more and the problem will just show up quicker. The whole point of the X-Clamps is to prevent flexing from damaging the board even more.

@ultratech yes a lot has changed since this all came out. We now know that no matter what "quick fix" we tried, The ultimate failure was based on the chip design and with out a proper reflow/reball or even chip replacement it would most likely fail again.
