Dulan Wijesundara this is the same Samsung UA55ES8000 TV where you repaired the T-con board? Besides the thick band it also looks like you have multiple small lines running vertically down the screen.

I have the UN55MU6500... And I am having the same issue as I seen in the posted pictures! This tv wasnt even that old when this happened! Called in for warranty to fix it? And got denied??? Because of the black pixels !So,Why are us consumers suffering for the faulty junk that they are selling and not backing up with their warranty?! So , does anyone on here lnow whom I can contact to help me ? So maybe they can make this company fix their crap! And stop blaming their faulty tvs etc on their customers! I am out all the money I spent on that tv. And I dont have it so I could replace this dead pixel tv with an LG or something. This crap isnt right at all! SAMSUNG NEEDS TO BACK UP THEIR WARRANTIES! I WANT MY TV FIX! Thank you for any and all guidance as to whom to contact to start a case against them to help us all with this issue!

Dulan Wijesundara check the ribbon cables going from your T-con board to your panel. Make sure there are no small tears etc. Check that they are inserted straight into the connector and that the connector makes proper contact.

Update (12/01/2017)

Apply some gentle pressure on the TAB's and see if the image changes.

i did check the both ribbons. all are fine... do u have any idea to check these panel ribbons i have added photos..

by

Those are the TAB that connect the LCD controller to the LCD. They are bonded (special glue simplified)to the LCD. Not much you check on those. If they have failed you get vertical lines but usually not a large block of not working. The black line means your panel does not receive any output from the video processor.

by

thanks... is that TAB has gone? i mean it has IC knw.. if that got short or not work then what happent? how could i check the video signal coming or not? please let me knw

by

I did pressure all tabs are located s@ the panel.. but nothing got changed.. can i another way to check TAB ribbons working or not.. that mean power going trough the ribbon? Please let me knw .

by

Only with a oscilloscope etc. If it did not change anything then it is most likely not those cables. The signal to those cables comes from the main board to the T-con board. Most commonly it is the LVDS cables that are not carrying the signal.

I just had this same large black stripe going down my tv and I contacted Samsung, they had me do a power loop. Unplugged all devices, unplugged tv from surge protector for 60 seconds, then plugged tv into wall, plugged each device in one at a time to see if it came back. Then turned off tv again, and plugged back into surge protector. The black stripe is gone.

Didn't work for me. I tried everything. My tv is a Vizio. I called them and they shipped me a new t.v. at no cost.
