Chosen Solution

Take a look at page 21 of the iPhone 6S schematic, it covers the Forehead connector. There are three sections for the front camera: CAMERA POWER, CAMERA I/O and CAMERA MIPI.

The power section is self explanatory. Check to insure you have continuity on the filters and no shorts to ground (you have already done this!) and then check the voltages. You don’t need the camera connected.

If the power is good, then check, in diode mode, the I/O section. This is the control/communication between the camera and the CPU (AP…Application Processor). You should compare this to a known good device but in the absence of that, look for “normal” values (~.250 - .600). Finally, check the MIPI section. This is the actual data coming back from the camera. These are the square filters next to the connector.

An easy way to accomplish all of this is to probe the FCAM connector and compare values to a known-good device or ZXW.

There is probably a faulty camera or connection. There is not much you really can do besides replacing the front camera/speaker assembly

might be an actual issue with the logic board itself. See what apple says
