Not sure what is wrong with GameCube? Receiving Error Message.

Hello,

I've recently noticed my GameCube was having trouble with the lazer, it sometimes didn't read discs, so I took my console apart and cleaned it up to try and solve this issue...

When I put it all back together, I was frustrated to find out that I made it even worse because now it won't even give me a disc reading error, it just gives me a generic error... "An error has occurred. Turn the Power Off and check the Nintendo GameCube Instruction Booklet for further Instructions"

I don't know what I did wrong during the teardown as everything fit together and it seemed correct, I followed a tutorial on YouTube and when the guy was finished his GameCube worked.

A question I have is, is the fan supposed to start turning right when you power on the console? Because mine doesn't now, so that could be a problem.

Also, are those 2 thin metal pieces screwed in behind the memory card areas supposed to be touching the green part, or stay away from it?

Also, does anyone know if my model of the GameCube is different, because my fan is connected directly to the motherboard/heat sink piece unlike the ones I've seen in tutorials.

If anyone has any idea about what could be wrong with the GameCube I'd be happy to hear it, if anyone needs it I'll take pictures of whatever area you need. Thanks! I really want to figure this out ASAP.

Answer this question I have this problem too

I think it's because of the BIOS getting too complicated..

Also because of its Red Thing when it reads discs, I think it died..

IDK?
