Can a repair centre tell if the phone has water damage

Recently sent the phone off under warranty as it stopped working, however a couple of weeks before that it had gotta wet, I never told them this is the case as water damage isn’t covered under warranty. Can the repair centre tell if your phone had gotten wet ? And if so how and does the volume of water matter ?

Answer this question I have this problem too

There are ways to determine if a phone has water damage.

- stickers that change colors when wet

- water stains, marks internally

- some components may actually rust if wet

I am not familiar with this model phone, the Huawei P10. But, yes, they can tell if your phone died because of liquid. If it was an extremely minute volume of water and a liquid damage indicator was not installed for some crazy reason, perhaps not. (I think it is up to the carriers to place indicator's on this particular phone, but someone please call me out if I am wrong). Just see what the repair center tells you. Water damage can be fixed with ultrasonic cleaners as long as a non-replaceable part is not damaged.
