Tab inside charging port bent and won't accept charging cable.

There seems to be a small tab inside the charging port that slides into the slot in the charging cable. This tab appears to be bent from my child persistently attempting to plug the power cord in upside down and now the charging cable either won't plug in appropriately or make a good connection and charge.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi Kat,

Yes my kids do exactly the same, it sounds as if one of the pins inside the charging port is bent or broken off. This will require you taking the device apart and ordering the required charging port for your device. It will require you to remove the old charging port from the board and re-soldering a new one on to it.
