F-- error message on aperture when zooming lens.

On my Sony Alpha A55V, when I turn my 18-250 Sony Zoom Lens, I get a F-- error where the aperture numbers are and it won't correct until I zoom back. It won't take a photo or anything when this F-- message comes up.

If you have another zoom lens, I would test it with the other. If not, I would take the body to a camera store and ask to try their lenses to see if this error occurs on the store's zoom lens. This way you can figure out if the body is defective or the lens has an issue and which one to research repairing.
