My DS Lite screen edges are now starting to fade

My DS Lite screen hasn't been used for maybe 3 years because I lost the charger and I just recently bought one. Now, its fully charged but the screen (both the top and bottom) now has like weird stains and it makes the edges turn white when I turn it on (refer to attached photos for reference). Help. How do I fix it? DO I clean it? If not, where can I get it fixed? Where do I buy a new screen? Help!!

Hi!

Unfortunately there is no other fix than replacing both top and lower screens.

However, the parts you will need are fairly inexpensive and the repair processs should also be easy.

I have linked all the parts you will need for this repair and our iFixit guide on how to do it.

You will need: the Upper LCD, Lower LCDand the touch digitizer for the new lower LCD.

Here's the guide for the Lower LCD, this one's for the upper screen.

You will also need this special screwdriver to open it up.
