Backlight of iPhone 6

Okay SO I bought a phone that had a signal issue (i knew this as seller was honest) and I found a video of the antenna and the 'material' thing on top of it had slipped off and managed to fix the signal within a minute. After a day or so signal started going funny again so I took apart my phone again etc etc and when I turned it back on it had the 'shadow' on the screen (PHOTO OF EXAMPLE PROVIDED)

.

So I watched videos of people fixing iphone 6 backlight issues. Which you need to have a solder iron etc to do whatever they do. Most stores that fix smashed screens obviously won't go near it. Is there anywhere that does? PS IM FROM THE UK

UNLESS there's any advice someone has i could try? I didn't touch anything i didn't need too so not sure if it was my fault...

This is not a DIY repair so unless you have the tools and experience, I don't recommend you try it on an otherwise working phone, especially when it's your phone.

As for repair, look locally for a reputable shop that does micro-soldering repairs. Ideally, you want to find someone local but good workmanship trumps locality. There are many shops worldwide that do this so you shouldn't have any problems finding them.

If you can't find one locally, then consider mail-in repair. There are several reputable micro-solderers patrolling this forum. You can click on my profile to learn more about my services, at the very least, it can serve as a data point.

Thank you! Also the screen flickers when you touch it sometimes, the 'shadow' will go away and then comes back. Does that sound like somethings loose rather than 'broken'?

It could also be a bad screen, improper connection etc. If you have access to another screen, you could isolate the issue pretty quickly.

I've just opened it back up and inside i'm missing about FIVE screws from different areas! I pressed down on one area that's missing 2 main screws and the backlight has GONE lol?! Do you know where i could get the screws from? (i know i need different screws not just the same one) I'd rather buy them myself than go to a shop to get it 'fixed' as it isnt exactly hard to screw down some screws haha. I can add some photos of what i mean if needed.

You can usually buy screw sets by device. I'm not sure if they sell them here on iFixit though. Otherwise, check out eBay/AliExpress/UnionRepair or stateside, MobileSentrix, Mobile Defenders etc.

Bought some on ebay cheap as chips. Just a bit anxious that the price doesnt mean anything bad
