Why can't I get photos people have texted?

A setting must have somehow been changed on my phone as I used to be able to receive photos in my text messages. Now all that comes up is a message "Failed to download attachment from multimedia message. Try again later." Trying again later doesn't help as I've been opening this same message for 2 days. Please help.

Options

Call your service provider and talk to tech support to verify your APN settings are correct. Depending on the original carrier of the phone and the network you are using now (if unlocked from different carrier) the settings have to manually entered.
