I recently changed the screen on an Ipad Air using ifixit parts. Never really had a problem before but now this one Ipad is not showing charging. I am wondering if I accidently hit something inside. Does the Ipad air have the gas gauge that I have been reading about? Or what else do you think I should check out?

Did this occur immediately following your repair? If so, then do a thorough visual inspection around the battery connector, specifically look for FL7500 as it is on the batt_swi line.

is there a video or paper on how to fix the fl7500 or pictures?
If FL7500 is defective, ideally it should be replaced with a 240-OHM / 0.2A / DCR=0.8 OHM Ferrite Bead. Some people will just short it out; in a pinch that can be fine. Look for any videos that talk about battery SWI or even backlight filter repair and you should get the gist of it. It's a straightforward repair if you have the proper tools or experience. If you don't you can quickly create more damage than you set out to fix so consider your skills and then decide if you want/should have this done by an experienced micro-solderer or not.
