How to fix home button with touch id still working?

My iphone 6 home button is not working. If I replace home button flex cable does the home button and touch id will start to work?

There are two elements to the Home Button in the iPhone 6. There is the actual home button itself. If this part is damaged, then there is nothing you can do to repair it and while you can replace it, it will never have Touch ID again. (in truth, in some cases it can be repaired but very few people can actually succedd at this kind of repair).

The other possibility is that the Home Button Link cable is damaged. This is easily replaceable.
