The LG G4 was released in the US in early June 2015, as always focusing on high-end specifications and a refined fashion sense that makes it stand out in the premium smartphone market. Each version of the phone will have a different model number based on if it is sold by a carrier or unlocked (US or International). Some LG G4's are known to have bootloop problems.

How do you replace volume button board

Lg screen comes on stays on won't turn on all the way and can't shut down with button. I purchased the part but there is plastic piece over top (when looking at backside.) Does this come off? I can't tell. Also can't determine how the new part will attach. Can anyone help with this? Thanks

Hi,

Here is a link to a video showing the removal and replacement of an LG G4 power/volume button assembly.

At 7:25 minutes into the video it explains that you have to remove the plastic adhesive off the back of the "buttons" assembly.

Hopefully this is of some help.
