Multiple Games freeze and kick back to home screen

Xbox will work fine randomly and other times freeze during games and I can go back to home screen and repeat.

What are some diagnostic test I can do to narrow down the issue.

I’ve tried.

Running game on external HD

Reboot/restart Xbox

Switch power supply

Tried play game with alternate profile
