Boom 2, need to keep resetting Bluetooth connection

Hi,

I've found that despite using the same Bluetooth device with my Boom 2 speaker, that it won't connect straight away, and that I need to keep resetting the Bluetooth connectivity on the Boom 2.

I seem to remember this wasn't a problem a while back, and that it would connect straight away if using the same device as when it was last used.

Does anyone know whether this can be fixed?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Try resetting the speaker to factory default settings from the app.

Thanks, I know this sounds daft, but I can't see how to do that from the app.

If your UE Boom 2 portable speaker refuses to connect to other devices via Bluetooth, see the UE Boom 2 Bluetooth Pairing Is Not Working problem page for possible causes and solutions.

Hold down the volume down button and the power button at the same time Boom will then turn off. Turn it back on and then pair it with your device again

Update (06/23/2020)

I don’t believe that is true, I could be wrong. It is more of an annoyance to have to do; but really it is recommended to un-pair after every use and re-pair when needed, due to security issues.

Hi, thanks. I have read that doing this too often is harmful to the speaker. Do you happen to know a) if this is true, and b) if so, why.
