Had a cracked screen on Lenovo Yoga 700-ISK. Ordered the correct LCD. Followed the Lenovo LCD screen replacement instructions. Once the laptop is back together the laptop powers up, fan backlit keyboard etc. but the LCD does not come on. Have tried upping brightness and blindly trying to get it to go to an external monitor but no luck.
Is this a good question?

@lucy700 sounds like you are having issues other than LCD issues. You did not tell us why you had to change it in the first place. Concern I have is that your Lenovo should find the external monitor without any issues. Of course, always double check your work and make sure everything is well connected. If nothing else you may want to try another new LCD panel, maybe you did get a bad one which does happen from time to time.

The screen was cracked. The computer worked perfectly before but always had to be careful of the screen. I have re-checked all connections. I may have to try to get another screen. Is there a way to output to an external monitor. I have tried a couple of things but since there is nothing on the LCD I'm shooting in the dark.
Connect a monitor or TV through the micro HDMI port and it should be found almost immediately.
