Why is my dryer not heating up?

My gas dryer drum suddenly stopped working in the middle of a cycle. The drum belt had actually snapped. I replaced the belt, everything is working, but now it won't heat up. I find it hard to believe 2 different parts went out at same time. I checked all wires and nothing is loose. Also, there are no blockages from lint, etc. Not sure if heat source gets tripped when drum stops working or if there is some type of reset? Looking for some troubleshooting ideas. I have no electrical equipment to measure voltage, etc. Any suggestions?
