computer want turn on

I added memory to a dell 2400 desktop and right after i did this i went to turn it on and it did nothing. No green power light indicator or nothing. Please help!!!

Remove your memory and see (actually hear) if you get a post error code usually a couple of beeps depending no your BIOS. If you get the beeping, your CPU is okay I would reset my CMOS and reseat just one memory module and see if it boots up. You may have incompatible memory, or a module that is faulty as well as a module that is not inserted properly. What mother board do you have? I believe that for that particular PC each memory slot can hold DDR PC2700, DDR PC3200 with a maximum of 1GB per slot, and remember that your system does not support ECC. Because ECC and non-ECC modules should not be mixed within a system, install the same type of modules that are already in your system Good luck and let us know how it is going
