Front Glass replacement tools question

I read the guide for replacing the front glass on a 2011 MacBook Pro 13"and have a question (or two)

Rather than using a heat gun, would the iOpener provide enough heat to soften the glue?

Would the iSclack provide enough force to lift the glass up far enough to get a spudger in the opening.?

Thanks!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I would say it's worth a try with the iOpener, but do be aware of that soft rubber strip mentioned in Step 15 of the guide. I would think the problem would be constantly stopping and reheating, which would give the glue time to cool down again. Then again, it works for a tablet, and that's a big enough area.

MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2009 Front Display Glass Replacement

As far as the iSlack goes, I don't know if it would provide enough force. My other concern is that it tends to pop suddenly if it gets too much give. For an iPhone, that's fine. The whole display is small and detaches at the same time. If it is indeed enough force to pull the front glass of a laptop apart, I'd be nervous about the glass shattering. More than that, I'd be nervous about any broken glass damaging the LCD. Otherwise I would also say, worth a try.
