I unscrewed the main unit of my JBL Creature II speakers (the sub-woofer), but still cannot open it. In the back where are the input/output jacks and the power button I managed to open a little bit the case, but in the front where are the trebble and bass it stays closed.
Any help?

Specifically, where it says:
"To completely remove the bottom of the enclosure, you must remove the two silver knobs on the front from their shafts. Pull them firmly but carefully straight up. If you break the black shafts, you'll be shafted for real."

And don't forget to remove the nuts under those knobs. The top still won't come off until those are removed.
